The past few months have been exciting for Coordinape. We’ve seen growth of our core product, Gift Circles, driven in part by organizations outside of web3. Members of our squad have been invited to speak at Balaji’s Network State Conference and during Stanford Science of Blockchain week. We launched CoSouls (your onchain CV) and have seen 25k+ mints and a warm reception from press, calling it the beginning of a “web3 LinkedIn,” a concept Coinbase’s Brian Armstrong has also floated. Our years of work are feeling increasingly recognized and relevant.

Shipping for signal, not noise

Today we bring to market our long-term vision for web3 professional networking with the launch of CoLinks. CoLinks is the SocialFi Platform for the Future of Work, delivering a professional networking experience that is personalized to the individual, with a focus on expanding horizons and discovering what’s next.

A platform like this is long overdue, yet nowhere to be found. CoLinks is designed to help right-sized groups form around people, topics, and opportunities. The size and focus of the groups will change from scene to scene, unlike the old world, where bigger is always better. CoLinks’ incentive system is designed around quality and impact, not maximizing impressions for ad dollars. Come curate streams of people and topics you’re interested in, and get rewarded for it, instead of navigating through noisy conversations filled with bots and engagement farming. The more impactful gathering you drive, the more you are valued. It’s one of the SocialFi dynamics we think makes a ton of sense.

SocialFi, you say?

Indeed, we leveraged the friend.tech contracts to facilitate the CoLinks marketplace, with the important change of a softer bonding curve. We think that professional networking needs a more accessible space for folks to connect with one another, and mechanics to keep groups from getting too noisy. Leveraging the power of the bonding curve and smart contracts for Links helps that ratio while facilitating marketplace rewards for driving impactful activity. There are different views of friend.tech within the Coordinape team, but we all agree that the dynamics it exposed around verified presence, access to influence, discovery, and rewards were all super powerful. It’s not the entirety of this product, but it’s an important lego.

So, like, what’s it do?

This is your place to browse big brain builders, go deep on subjects you’re into, find your next collaborator, employee, or job, or just get advice. Bring your well earned rep by linking your Twitter and Github (and soon™ LinkedIn). These wonders of web2 will combine with your onchain accomplishments (eg. POAPs) to kickoff your Rep Score so people know you’re a verified, value-adding, human. With right sized groups, reputation scores, AI-aided search, and the ability to mute as needed, you can connect with the right people. Substance over spambots. Most importantly, we designed CoLinks in the same spirit as everything we’ve built at Coordinape - to be one piece of the web3 professional networking world. The Rep you establish on CoLinks lives on your CoSoul NFT, yours to take where you please, and compatible with web3 systems of today and tomorrow.

AI? Yeah we got that too.

At launch, we’re using OpenAI models in our network explorer to help you seek CoLinks users that most fit your interests. We use vector embedding of profile and onchain data like topics, bio, POAPs, and more to enable finding frens from Launch. Soon™, you’ll be able to search people on CoLinks with prompts like, “people who hold Pudgy Penguins, attended ETHDenver 2022, and are really into ZK-rollups”, and find your squad.

Next step, mass adoption

The story of Brazilian food delivery giant iFood using Coordinape gift circles exemplifies our vision. They found value in our platform because of its innovative approach to employee engagement, not because of the neat web3 tech underneath. We’ve been fortunate to spend time with multiple non-crypto organizations and we've evolved gift circles to be accessible via email sign-up through an integration with magic link. We’re building for the same evolution with CoLinks. MVP requires a basic level of crypto skills, but we’ll make it more seamless as it grows. We envision a future where anyone, regardless of their technical or crypto know-how, can leverage the full potential of CoLinks.

We’re limiting access to CoLinks, so head to the app and enter your email to request an early invite code. While you are there, you can start building your profile and gaining rep in the waiting room while we prepare for launch.
